JD. REID
Artist · DJ · Producer

One of the UK’s most in-demand studio minds, JD. REID has built a reputation as both a visionary solo artist and a prolific producer. His credits span hit records with Mabel, executive production for Mahalia, collaborations with Sinead Harnett and Kojey Radical, and remixes for the likes of Kelela.

Across the past decade, he has released a string of EPs and mixtapes with collaborators including slowthai, Novelist, George Riley, Ghetts, Ms Banks, Denzel Himself, Biig Piig, Venna, Hagan, and Odd Future’s Hodgy — each project revealing a new facet of his sound. His long-running EDITS series, now eight volumes deep, flips carnival classics, grime instrumentals and club favourites into fresh DJ tools, supported by Joy Orbison, Jyoty, Bicep, DJ SWISHA, Joe Kay, Ross From Friends and Hudson Mohawke.

As a DJ, JD’s genre-fluid sets have taken him from major stages like Drumsheds, Fabric and Boiler Room to underground hubs such as Colour Factory and his BABY GRAVY residency at The Carpet Shop in Peckham.

A fixture on Rinse FM for over ten years, JD has become a trusted voice in UK underground music while championing new talent. He is also the founder of BABY GRAVY, a club night spotlighting forward-thinking sounds from both UK and international artists.

From the grime textures of Calibrate to the genre-blurring Tree, the club-driven sometimes i wonder trilogy, and his recent leaf / outside AA-side, JD continues to evolve with each release — driven by a vision to bridge the gap between sounds and sonic worlds.
